Are there hairdryers in the room?

Yes, all rooms have hairdryers

Which lifts do you take us to?

We take guests to the Ardent gondola, which is just 6 minutes from the chalet and takes you right into the middle of the Avoriaz ski area: Les Linderets. We can also take you to the Pleney lift, which gives you access to the Morzine/Les Gets ski area. Please note: The Prodain lift is a 50 min round trip from our chalets so we unfortunately, we can’t do lifts to here

How can I arrange ski hire?

We have a fantastic partner company, Ski Mobile, that offers all our guests a 20% discount on ski hire. They come straight to the chalet when you arrive and fit you out with all the kit you need so that you don’t have to lug boots and skis around town. To take advantage of this service, add your details into their simple online booking system by visiting

How can I arrange ski passes?

We can arrange for your ski passes to be waiting for you when you arrive at the chalet. Simply select the pass you’d like in our online booking system and we’ll add the cost of the pass to your balance.

Which ski pass do you recommend?

We recommend the full Portes du Soleil ski pass which is fantastic value for money. Our chalets are ideally located to ski in all the key resorts in the Portes du Soleil: Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Chatel as well as all the Swiss resorts

How do I arrange ski lessons?

From beginner group lessons to private ski touring sessions, the ski and snowboard schools in Morzine Avoriaz offer first class tuition to suit all needs. We advise organising lessons well in advance, particularly if you are coming during school holidays as they do tend to get booked up. Our top 2 recommendations are Reach Your Peak and Freedom2Ski, but please do let us know if you have any special requirements and we’ll point you in the right direction.

Can you arrange transfers for us?

Yes, we can arrange return transfers from Geneva airport via our reliable transfer partner, Skiidy Gonzales. Just select ‘yes’ for transfers on our booking system and add your flight details

How do I find my transfer driver at Geneva airport?

When you arrive at the airport, you will be met by your driver in the arrivals area who will be holding a board with your name on it (or your group leader’s name if you are a large group).

How long will my transfer take?

The transfer generally takes between 1hr 15min and 1hr 45mins depending on snow, traffic and whether or not the driver has to do other drop offs on the way to our chalet. If you’d like to avoid travelling with other guests with different drop offs you can select a private transfer service.

How do we get to the slopes and back?

Your chalet driver will take you directly to the ski lifts every morning at a pre-arranged time organised the night before, but generally between 08:30 and 10:30. Your driver will be ready to pick you up between 16.00 and 18.00 after skiing. We also offer a middle-of-the-day support driver: ideally this is scheduled in advance but if you need to come back unexpectedly, we need 1 hour to come and get you, as this service is shared across all our chalets

How do we get into Morzine town centre?

We’ll do our best to drop you in town in the morning and evening when you’d like to go. From Chalet d l’Ange, you can also walk (it’s around 25 minutes) or catch one of the regular local buses. We can arrange a taxi to pick you up after a night out.

There is also a good bar and restaurant in Montriond, which is just a 15 min walk from the chalets (or less than 5 mins from Chalet de l’Ange)

Where are the chalets located?

All of our chalets are located in the Montriond area of Morzine. Our superb location means we can get you to the heart of the Avoriaz ski area 10-15 mins quicker than if you were staying in a central Morzine chalet. We also have the best views!

Which night is chalet night off?

Thursday night. Please note, we will still do breakfast & lifts to and from the slopes on the chalet night off.

Which restaurants do you recommend?

Morzine has excellent food options. Whether you’re looking for a cosy chalet-style restaurant for two or a modern family-friendly restaurant for a large group, find inspiration in our list of recommended restaurants. We advise booking in advance, especially during school holidays. We can do this for you; just let us know where you’d like to go.

Can I drive to the chalet?

Yes, many of your guests drive from the UK (around 10 hrs from Calais) or hire a car at Geneva airport (about 1.5hrs to the chalet).

Is there parking at the chalets?

Yes, private parking is available at all our chalets.

Do I need snow chains?

To be safe, we think it is essential that you bring snow chains in your car, which you can pull over and put on should you need to. If you are hiring a car remember to request one with winter tyres if possible and make sure chains are included.

In summer you don’t need snow chains or winter tyres.

Is the chalet child friendly?

Absolutely! We welcome families with children of all ages.

What facilities do you have in the chalet for babies?

On request, we can provide travel cots, sterilisers, changing mats, potties, bed guards, toilet steps, toilet seats, high chairs and stair gates. Ask us in advance and we will make sure you have what you need when you arrive.

What entertainment do you have in the chalet for kids?

We have a wide selection of popular child-appropriate DVD’s and Nintendo Wii games. We also have children’s toys for younger kids, although we recommend you remember to bring that special cuddly toy for bedtime.

Are the chalet’s baby and toddler safe?

We do our best to keep our chalet’s as safe as possible for little explorers, but please do get in touch if you have any particular concerns or needs.

Can you arrange childcare?

We want you to have peace of mind that your kids are in safe hands while you’re on the slopes. We can put you in touch with a wide choice of dependable kids clubs, crèches and private nannying services, so you can work out a childcare programme that works for you.

How long does it take to get to the chalets from Geneva airport?

The chalets are a 1.5hr drive from Geneva airport. Depending on traffic and weather your drive or transfer length may vary. Our transfer partner does a great job of coordinating transfers to get you here as soon as possible, but please be aware that shared transfers will be longer due to drop offs at other chalets in the resort.

Can you handle my dietary requirements?

Almost certainly, yes! We adapt our standard menu to accommodate vegetarians, vegans and those on restricted diets, and do our best to ensure that everyone has a fantastic meal every night. Just let us know of your requirements in advance and we’ll plan our food shop and adapt the menu accordingly.

Do you have a separate children’s menu?

We can provide a menu of child-friendly dishes for children’s mealtime. Please advise of any fussy eaters or food preferences and we’ll make sure your little ones are well-fed.

Is wine included and what wines do you serve?

All our wines are good quality bottled wines and you can drink as much as you like! We have carefully chosen some wonderful white and red wines which will work well for general consumption and will also compliment the menu. The wine we provide is not limited to meal times and is available whenever you like.

For those of you who are particularly interested in wine we also offer an additional selection of French wines from the surrounding regions for a supplementary cost (well below restaurant prices).

What activity options are there for non-skiiers?

If you’d like to spend some family time away from the slopes, or there are members of your group who will not be skiing or boarding; rest assured that there is plenty to do in Morzine.

For the active there are some fantastic winter sports: cross-country skiing; snowshoeing; paragliding; tobogganing; horse and cart rides; husky rides and ice skating, to name but a few.

For those seeking less energetic entertainment, options include catching a thrilling ice hockey game; cinema shows in English; watching the pistes light up for night skiing; exploring Morzine’s selection of food, sports, homeware and souvenir shops, or checking into one of the resorts fabulous spas. For an added touch of luxury we can also arrange a number of indulgent in-chalet spa treatments.

Can you arrange a special cake for a birthday?

Of course, just let us know on which day you’d like it and what the birthday boy or girl’s favourite type of cake is.

Is it possible to ski on arrival and departure days?

Certainly and why not if you can! For early arrivals and late departures we’ll provide a changing area and store your bags while you ski on the first/last day. For your arrival day you can arrange for your skis to be fitted on the morning you arrive at the chalet with our ski hire partner, ski mobile.

Do you have British TV?

Yes we do have British TV in most of our chalets – in Ferme a Jules, it is provided via Apple TV so you will need to have an apple device and the relevant app downloaded to make it work. We also have a great selection of classic and popular films in our DVD library as well as HDMI cables so you can play films or check out your holiday snaps through your laptop.

Do you supply UK plug adaptors?

Yes we have plenty in each room

How can we dry our soggy ski clothes?

We have radiators in every bathroom that you will find handy for gloves and under garments. If you require a tumble dryer please ask your chalet host.

Do you have a heated boot rack?

Yes we do, so your toes should start the day nice and toasty.

Can we wash clothes or baby garments at the chalet?

Whilst we recommend you bring enough clothes for the week, we understand things can get messy with children and in the great outdoors. We have a washing machine and tumble dryer which is working hard most of the time but, if you talk to your hosts, we should be able to squeeze in a wash or two for you.

Are your chalets available in the summer months?

Chalet de l’Ange is available on a self-catering basis during the summer. Please find information in our summer section.

What is there to do in the summer?

The list of summer mountain pursuits is endless: explore the mountain trails on foot or horseback; paddleboard on Montriond’s stunning lake; hit the downhill bike tracks or raft the white-water. Alternatively kick-back on the terrace, sunbathe by the lake and enjoy warm summer evenings by the BBQ.
