Almost there…

April 5th, 2014 News

When you work in a seasonal business, the periods where you are in-season are usually very intense and running a chalet in Morzine is no different. From the moment our team arrives at the beginning of December for 2 weeks of training and then straight into Christmas and New Year, through to the middle of April when the final guests leave, life is defined by clearing snow, long hours & tired feet! That’s not to say we don’t find making our guests happy incredibly rewarding. But when spring arrives and the clocks go forward, then it’s our turn to have a holiday!

The last guests of the season arrive this weekend, most of whom are our friends and family, so we are really excited to see them all after 5 months of hard work. We are particularly excited as we are going to take our daughter Ivy skiing for the 1st time on Sunday. She is not even 2 yet so it will probably be just a 30 minute slide around on the flat but she is fairly fearless so perhaps she’ll be on the reds by the end of the day. Who knows.

It’s been an excellent 3rd season for us and the reviews we have had on TripAdvisor have been consistently excellent as well so we are delighted and feel we have earned a rest.
