Introducing Chalet 1788: Self-catered Chalets, the AliKats Way
AliKats has until recently specialised in catered chalets. Naturally, though, we often get requests from prospective guests looking to rent our chalets on a self-catered basis.
And we’ve been known to do just that: Chalet de L’ange is available on a self-catered basis during the summer season. But we thought we’d go one step further and introduce a dedicated, self-catered chalet. And so we welcome Chalet 1788 to the AliKats range!
Chalet 1788 was built by one of Morzine’s founding families,
and still boasts many of its original features.
Our aim with Chalet 1788 is to couple the flexibility and privacy of self-catering with the personal touches and home-from-home feel that regular guests have come to expect from an AliKats mountain holiday.
Chalet 1788 is just a 15-20 minute walk from central Morzine and within easy reach of the all-important ski lifts. As a spacious barn-conversion, the chalet is perfect for families and large groups, sleeping 10-12 throughout 5 bedrooms, each with its own modern private bathroom.
The chalet’s kitchen has the space and features to cook
for your group, and opens out on to the large dining area.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare meals, explore the area’s many fine restaurants or, after a long day on the slopes, be spoiled with home-cooked AliKats evening meals delivered straight to your fridge!
And if that’s not quite enough pampering, there’s always the option to relax after in the chalet’s brand new wellness area, complete with sauna & outdoor hot-tub with views over the French Alps.
Modern features blend with the barn’s 225-year-old
charm – all framed by the beautiful mountain backdrop.
Self-catered vs. All Inclusive
There are many reasons for choosing a self-catered experience, but for many of our guests, it’s usually due to the need to accommodate a single, large group of friends or family. It’s in these cases that a self-catered chalet works out to be especially good value, allowing you to split the costs of everything between the group.
Equally, if you think you’ll end up eating out more than a couple of times, or are travelling with young ones that tend to eat at different times, the flexibility of self-catering may make it the best choice for your holiday.
Self-catering at AliKats offers the privacy of having the
entire chalet to yourselves, but with many of the perks of our catered holidays.
And if you do choose the self-catered AliKats option, know that we’re always there to help make your holiday perfect, whether it’s hand-picked wine on arrival, ski essentials like lift passes and equipment hire, or a mid-week clean and towel refresh.
