Alcohol-free après ski: What to order and where to find it in Morzine

December 12th, 2025 News

Whether you’ve quit drinking, are choosing to drink more mindfully, or just feel it’s safer to skip alcohol on a ski trip, we’ve scouted out Morzine’s bars and venues for the tastiest non alcoholic cocktails, spirits, beers and fizz, so you know where to head for après on your alcohol-free ski trip.

Sober Après in Morzine: Where to Find the Best Non-Alcoholic Drinks

We know the extra layer of complexity that can come with going booze-free – that split-second panic when the waiter appears, everyone fires off their orders, and suddenly all eyes turn to you. And honestly, it’s about time we moved past the days of tooth-achingly sweet juice combos (pomme fraise, anyone?).

Luckily for us on the AliKats team, we often get tipped off about the best après spots before the rest of the crowd. And with many of us choosing to cut down or go completely alcohol-free, we figured it was time to share the inside scoop on the bars putting real effort into their non-alcoholic drink menus.

So, we’ve done the legwork for you. We’ve sipped, sampled and rounded up Morzine’s best non-alcoholic (and super low-ABV) drinks – and we’re thrilled to report that the village’s bartenders have seriously delivered.

So cheers to an energising ski holiday, minus the hangxiety, questionable choices and sleep sabotage.

Hotel Névé

The warm, contemporary bar at Hotel Névé is becoming the place for cocktails in Morzine, and this includes the non-alcoholic variety. Not only does Névé Bar offer several non alcoholic classic cocktails, including Virgin Negroni, G&T, Hugo and Mojito, but they also pour a lot of energy into inventing their own delicious concuctions. Try the Bangalore – honey, ginger, mint, Kombucha and chai tea foam – or a Franky Sour, with rooibos and vanilla infusion, pineapple, passion fruit, lime and cinnamon. We also think it’s smart that Névé has introduced a ‘MOLLO’ range of low alcohol cocktails for those wanting a little buzz but a relatively cloud-free head for skiing the next day. And if you’re in the mood for fizz? Opt for the sparkling wine, it’s perfect for toasting your day on the slopes.

Le Club

A stylish lounge bar hidden under one of Morzine’s most prestigious restaurants ‘La Chamade’, with experienced bartenders creating a wide range of classic and inventive cocktails. This intimate little spot is a great place for pre-dinner drinks, and does not disappoint with its mocktail selection. A couple of highlights are Infusion des Montagnes– pear juice, lemon juice, honey syrup and rosemary infusion – and Le Reconfortant, a comforting 0% gin based cocktail white grape, thyme, lemon and ginger ale. You’ll also find two sophisticated Virgin Martinis – a Mule and a Spritz.

Hotel Le Tremplin

Back this season after a two-year renovation, Le Tremplin is once again delivering its famous daily après-ski party from 3pm on its spacious outdoor terrace. Perfectly positioned at the bottom of the Pleney lift, it’s the place for boot-stomping après, with resident DJs and some of the best party bands in the Alps bringing the vibe all season long.

The bar team are genuinely passionate about fun, creative alcohol-free options. Try the Crodino Spritz, Virgin Mojito, PC Star Martini, or our personal favourite: Raspberry Love – a refreshing mix of raspberry, alcohol-free gin, lime and cranberry juice.

You’ll also find an impressive line-up of low and no-alcohol beers, including Brooklyn Special, Corona, and Vandestreek Playground.

Hideout

Hideout is all about fresh, vibrant Asian street food, served in an upbeat, friendly setting. It’s a brilliant choice for vegetarians, groups who love sharing plates, and anyone who appreciates a well-made cocktail.

Their alcohol-free options are small but thoughtfully tuned to their menu. You’ll find two mocktails on the menu: the Morzine Sunrise (pineapple, orange and grenadine) and the Lucid Mule, a zingy blend of cranberry juice, ginger beer and lime. The Basil Orgeat Lemonade also sounds delicious. And if you’re wondering what orgeat is, it’s a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar and a touch of flower water – think rich, marzipan-kissed flavour in drinkable form.

Le Colibri

Colibri is a cafe bistro with a kitchen open all day. Hungry and thirsty skiers arriving from the nearby Pleney ski lift can enjoy a refreshing range of drinks and top up energy levels with apéro sharing plates, burgers, Buddha bowls and salads. A perfect spot for relaxed apres, with kids welcome, this bustling venue has put good effort into its delicious mocktails. Perce Neige is a sparkling detox longdrink made with aloe vera concentrate, Japanese roasted rice tea, and verjuice. The toasty and comforting notes are a great winter companion! The city girl’s answer on the slopes, the Cosmo 0.0 is an alcohol-free alternative to Colibri’s winter mandarin Cosmo, with 0% tanqueray gin infused with mandarins and oranges, rose water and cranberry, it allows you to feel like Carrie Bradshaw whilst remaining sensible!

For a healthy shot of vitamins before or after skiing, the home-made Detox Juice is a blend of beetroot, raspberries and granny smith apple.

Le Bec Jaune

‘The Bec’, as it’s known locally, is Morzine’s very own microbrewery–restaurant hybrid, loved for its relaxed vibe and creative, small-batch brews. For sober skiers, there’s plenty to enjoy. The bar serves beer from the Mont Salève Brewery, serves a punchy artisan ginger beer, and offers refreshing homemade lemonade and orangeade. You’ll also usually find a couple of sensible, low-ABV options on tap – typically a light lager, wheat beer or something similar – perfect for keeping things easy-drinking without the after-effects. If you’re in the mood for something else, just ask the friendly bar team — they’re always happy to mix something up.

The Wood Yard

For those staying in Morzine’s neighbouring ski village, Montriond, The Wood Yard restaurant and tap room adjoins the Ibex Brewery, close to the river walking trials along the Dereches. The bar serves the popular Low Rider Micro IPA at 1.2%, which is brewed on the premises. You’ll also find alcohol-free longdrinks and local kombucha, offered in different flavors, is sourced from Fermenterie des Champs Marmo in nearby Seytroux village. A refreshing home-made lemonade is another option.

The Verdict

Morzine is an excellent choice for sober skiers looking for a friendly, lively après scene with plenty of non-alcoholic options at the bar. And if you’re planning an alcohol-free ski trip, our luxury Morzine chalets make the perfect base — complete with hot tubs, stunning views, beautiful interiors and a thoughtful variety of non alcoholic drinks available by pre-order. Non-alcoholic drinks that can be pre-ordered and delivered to your chalet ahead of your arrival include alcohol-free wine and fizz, craft beers and JNPR spirits — a French specialist in premium, alcohol-free botanicals distilled with the same care as traditional spirits. So if you love the ritual of a well-made drink, minus the alcohol, we’ve got you covered.
