After an interesting but ultimately unrewarding 10 years working in banking in London and Geneva, I made the move into full time mountain life and have never looked back. When I am not looking after our 3 energetic and hilarious children, I oversee the commercial and business change side of AliKats. Following an unfulfilling career in media sales in London, I was looking for a new challenge when I met Al and I already had one eye on the mountains. Since 2010, we have been living here in Morzine and I now have a life creating interesting menus, recruiting and managing our wonderful team looking after our 3 gorgeous children. Al and I are also on the board of trustees for local environmental charity Montagne Verte

I’m stoked to have joined the AliKats team this month as Head of Sales. I’m grateful to be able to call Morzine home; enjoying the crisp mountain air each day – biking in summer and snowboarding each winter!

After hearing about Al & Kat’s work at both AliKats and via the local environmental charity – Montagne Verte, I knew I wanted to become part of this team and help make a difference. Cate

I’m Carine but you’ll get to know me as Cate. 2 years ago I was fortunate enough to be a chef in the beautiful Chalet Bizet. After a 2 year break, the mountains called again, but this time I’ll take on the role of operational manager. The new crew for winter 2023 – 2024 arrived a couple of days ago and I am already super proud to call them my team. Together we will do our very best to give everybody the full exquisite AliKats experience when on holiday. I can’t wait to meet you!

Hector

Hector is the youngest member of the AliKats team but is very keen to learn. His enthusiasm and energy are contagious and he can often be found urging the team on with encouraging barks. While Hector has never skied or snowboarded before, he is hoping to find his feet on the snow this season. He is also very much looking forward to meeting our wonderful guests.

I’m a 26-year-old Graphic Advertising Designer and Advertising graduate, embarking on a winter adventure as a Chalet Assistant in Europe. With a solid background in digital graphic design, brand development, and social media. Known for my responsibility, organization, attention to detail, and entrepreneurial spirit, I thrive in teamwork. Eager to acquire new knowledge and continue professional growth, I bring enthusiasm and expertise to my role. Ready to add a creative touch to the winter wonderland, I contribute value, effort, and all my skills to make this seasonal journey memorable.

Hi, I’m Daniel, born in the sunny midlands in England with my 2 other triplet brothers and training to be an electrical engineer. I’ve always had an unhealthy addiction to sports that can really hurt, I’ve played rugby since I was four, I have been skiing my entire life and have recently qualified to be a scuba diver. I am Really looking forward to trading in the 9 to 5 grind for living and shredding up the French alps all winter long!

Argentinian with Italian citizenship, I transitioned from a 5-year career in communications to become a Chalet Assistant for the European winter season. Alongside my wife, I sought new experiences and found myself in the serene landscapes. With dual degrees in Journalism and Public Relations, my expertise spans Brand PR, Digital copywriting, and Reputation Management. Now, I’m focused on curating cozy retreats and crafting narratives in the winter wonderland. Ready for this seasonal shift, I bring a practical approach and a commitment to adding a touch of magic to every guest’s experience.

Hi, Rich here.  I have previously worked as an engineering geologist, gardener, business administrator and massage therapist but decided that 2022 was the year to grab life and spend a winter in the Alps.  I loved being in the mountains so much that I’m back for more.  You’ll find me on two planks rather than one, enjoying everything from groomed pistes to fresh powder.  I am really looking forward to meeting lots of new people, helping our clients have an amazing holiday, and exploring Morzine and the wider Portes du Soleil region.

Working as an eco-chef in Antarctica, the Congo rainforest and London’s sustainable food networks, I set the bar pretty high for my cheffing experiences. Spending a winter in the French Alps has been a goal since learning to ski and snowboard in Antarctica in 2022, and once I came across AliKats I knew I couldn’t work anywhere else. AliKats’ ethos aligns with my insatiable appetite for creating delectable, sustainability focused food that brings joy and memorable dining experiences to fellow outdoors enthusiasts, all in a nurturing work environment and adventurous setting.

Olá! I’m Madalena, a Portuguese girl with a great passion for nature and used to growing up with the Portuguese sun and beaches. Adding to this, the curiosity to explore new environments, it could only result in a challenge to myself through the French Alps!

Rhiannon

Hey there! My name is Rhi, I’m from the southwest of the UK and this is my second winter cooking with Alikats. I’m excited to return to the mountains, get back in the chalets and back on the board! I love nothing more than incredible food and great company so if we cross paths I look forward to meeting you!

After an awesome season last year, working with Alikats and getting hooked on snowboarding, me and my partner swiftly decided to do it again. This year I am excited to be part of the prep kitchen team and learn more about running a kitchen sustainably.
