We have a long history – over 10 years – of working with this trustworthy, professional and fully-licensed transfer company, which operates transfers to and from Geneva airport and the main train stations of Cluses and Geneva.

They have a friendly and experienced team who know where all of our chalets are and how to access them no matter what the weather throws at them.

The transfer generally takes between 1hr 15min and 1hr 45mins depending on snow, traffic and whether or not the driver has to do other drop offs on the way to our chalet (which depends on the type service you have chosen – see options below).

Skiidy operates the largest airport transfer fleet in the Alps, and all vehicles are comfortable, heated and well maintained 8, 13 and 19 seat vehicles. They have a 24 hour support line for any last minute changes and provide child seats at no extra cost.

There are significant additional challenges for transfer companies in a post-Brexit, post-Covid world and we expect their services to get booked up a long way in advance. How to choose your transfer service

Skiidy Gonzales operate three types of transfer services: a private vehicle service for the quickest and most convenient transfer; the popular, efficient and excellent value shared service; and the new low cost shuttle service to Morzine.

 

Shared transfers

This is Skiidy’s guaranteed shared service which is the most popular, best value option for being reliably dropped off directly outside your chalet door. This service not only offers you great value but the best protection against flight disruption. Here’s how it works:

  • Departure from the airport within 45 minutes of arriving at Skiidy’s desk during the winter season and 120 minutes during the summer season
  • Door to door service
  • Flights monitored by Skiidy operations team
  • Schedules are produced to your flight times.
  • Departure times sent by SMS the day before
  • 24/7 support from operations team
    If your flight is delayed Skiidy will transfer you free of charge to the next available seats on either a shared or shuttle service where available.

Low-Cost shuttle

The low cost shuttle to central Morzine provides an extra option for those on a budget or booked into a chalet in the centre of Morzine. All pick ups and drop offs for this service will be from the coach parking in Place De La Poste. Here’s how it works:

  • Timetabled service – you pick the time you wish to leave the airport or resort
  • When selecting your airport or resort departure time please consider leaving a suitable margin of time to clear security and passport control both on arrival and on departure. From leaving Morzine the standard journey time is 1.5 hours but this can be affected by traffic on busy days or weather conditions.
  • On arrival: In Geneva you will need to make your way to Skiidy’s airport desk in the arrivals hall to check in. As you enter the arrivals hall from baggage claim, turn left and you will find the desk next to the green Tekoe cafe and opposite the UBS cash points. You must check in at the desk 15 minutes before departure time. In Morzine you will be dropped off at the coach parking in Place De La Poste.
  • Departure: In Morzine the collection point is the coach parking in the Place De La Poste. Please be at the collection point 15 minutes before departure.
  • Missed shuttle: Should the situation arise where you miss the shuttle (arrival or departure) Skiidy offers replacement seats on subsequent shuttle services on the same day if they are available. If there are none available then upgrades to shared or private services may be possible but will depend on availability on the day.

Private transfers

This private service will save you time at the airport and in the resort. Each vehicle can transport up to 8 passengers comfortably so larger groups can utilise multiple vehicles or if available Skiidy may use a larger vehicle. There are several advantages of a private transfer:

  • Your driver will be waiting for you on arrival
  • No waiting for other passengers
  • Door to door service
  • Flights monitored by operations team and 24/7 support
  • Guaranteed waiting time of one hour in case of delayed flights
  • Departure times sent by SMS the day before
  • Flight delays: in cases of flight delays, over the included one hour of waiting time, the driver may need to depart after the one hour waiting time to complete subsequent journeys. If available, replacement private vehicles will be provided. If this does not involve dispatching extra vehicles no charges will be made. If this is not possible then prioritised next available seats on shared or shuttle services will be offered free of charge. Should you prefer to retain private services and second vehicles are dispatched, charges will be made and documentation provided for a claim against travel insurance.
