The Top 3 Morzine Catered Chalets for Families
Spacious living areas, beautiful dining tables, cosy snugs, hot tubs and inviting family suites with quirky features kids will love; we’ve put together our top 3 favourite catered chalets for families, which we think you’ll love coming back to after a beautiful day on the slopes.
All of these ski chalets are fully catered, which means you can look forward to the complete AliKats’ experience of hearty breakfasts, delicious cakes for afternoon tea and amazing dinners, all prepared by our professional team of chefs and hosts.
There’s no need for kids to walk in ski boots as we will get you to the slopes in next to no time at all in our heated minivans. We also have some excellent childcare partners so you can enjoy the mountains knowing your little ones are well cared for, plus we’ll provide any baby equipment you need and delicious home-made dinners for kids teatime.
Ferme a Jules: a fun, friendly chalet to call home
Ferme a Jules was AliKats first ever chalet, and the reasons why we fell in love with it still make it a favourite of ours today. Originally built in 1808, this beautifully converted farmhouse has loads of nooks and crannies that kids love to explore. What is lovely about it, is although it might well win the award for the best chalet in Morzine for a game of hide and seek, the large chalet still keeps a cosy and friendly feel throughout.
An inviting communal space has a TV and games corner which is perfect for kids (young and old) to battle it out or just unwind. There’s loads of seating around the log fire for families to snuggle and enjoy some down time after skiing. Dinner is relaxed and sociable, with guests feasting on AliKats’ award winning food around a beautifully laid, long farmhouse table.
Large French doors and wide windows provide views of the mountains from every angle, and high, wooden-beamed ceilings create bright, open rooms. 10 spacious bedrooms, include three luxurious family bedrooms which have double/twin beds and bunk beds.
Parents love that the chalet’s sauna and large outdoor hot tub, providing the perfect way to soothe away ski weary limbs. The chalet is located on the Ardent (ski lift) side of Montriond, meaning it takes less than 7 minutes for our private driver to get you to the slopes in the morning.
Chalet Debussy: absolute luxury in the mountains
From the four, sumptuous ensuite bedrooms, to the graceful architecture, and beautifully considered soft-furnishings, Chalet Debussy it is the epitome of Alpine elegance. Whilst parents looking for luxury in the mountains adore this sophisticated chalet, its playful features make it exciting for kids too. Tucked away from the main living room, there is a special snug area full of comfy cushions and throws, where kids can enjoy some downtime before dinner.
The chalet is a great space for a large family and friends group with two bedrooms and two junior suites, sleeping a total of eight adults and seven kids. The two spacious family suites are uniquely laid out. In the Bergamasque suite kids have their own bedroom with three bunk beds, so they can get up to no good whilst you enjoy the stunning views from your south-facing balcony. The Caprice suite boasts a mezzanine above the main chamber in which two kids can sleep, make a den, or plan their next secret mission.
However, what we think really makes this chalet special for everyone, is the large, open-plan living area which encompasses the entire top floor. Grown ups will love evening cocktails and canapés next to the stunning suspended fireplace, before eating dinner on the 200-year old dining table. Two large French windows open on to a south-facing balcony, where you can watch breath-taking sunsets as the day falls behind Nyon.
Chalet Riviere: a peaceful hideaway for a family reunion
If you’re looking for a relaxing chalet to call home for the week, Chalet Riviere is a stunning chalet surrounded by pine trees and overlooking the river. It offers a wonderfully calming space to return to after a long day on the mountain.
Inside, crisp luxury is combined with cosy Alpine chic and high ceilings to give a feeling of space and freedom. The open-plan living area is spacious and inviting, with plenty of seating, including four sofas, a beautiful wooden dining table and a delightful island in the high-spec kitchen. Kids love the snug, which is away from the main living space, so kids can camp out and watch a film in peace – that is, without the grown ups bothering them!
What’s more, all five bedrooms have their own balconies with glorious views of the mountains. The chalet is also a great choice for families because it has three bedrooms with comfy sofas that can be extended into single beds. If mum and dad are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, be sure to reserve the master bedroom, this incredibly romantic room has indulgent features, including a free-standing roll top bath and waterfall shower.
