Best restaurant in Nyon, Morzine: Chez Nannon
One of the oldest restaurants on the mountain, this beautifully converted old cow byre is a family heirloom. It’s a welcoming little spot with an excellent Savoyard menu of mountain classics. The chef puts alot of love into the food and can be seen cooking in the kitchen. Service is proffesional and friendly but not rushed, so make sure you allow time for a relaxed meal and don’t plan on hard skiing after lunch (the portions are hearty).
For a real treat try the ‘Côte de Boeuf au Feu de Bois’ (wood fired rib of beef, served with marrow bone and sauce) or Le Vacherin (an ancient artisan cheese, served with potatoes and sides of cold meats and salad). It is a small restaurant, book ahead.
