Good pizza and general menu – walking distance to chalets. Also if you go for a drink in the Marmotte D’Or (bar next door) afterwards then they provide a free shuttle ride home or a taxi into town if you want to go for more drinks.

Nice food with an interesting and varied menu. Lovely bar in the cave downstairs with a great wine list. Perfect for a pre-dinner or post-dinner drink. Service in the restaurant can sometimes be a bit slow so we recommend going for the earlier sitting of 7.30pm.
Website La Chaudanne
Good cheap option but it’s more café/takeaway in style so good for a quick bite if you are more interested in going for some drinks. Good pizza, burgers, noodles etc. (No need to book)
The place for a special occasion, where booking the chef’s table is a real treat. Inspired as much by his mother’s mountain recipes, as he is by the top kitchens (including Paul Bocuse) where he learned his trade, third-generation chef Thierry Thorens makes exceptional use of local seasonal produce with inventive and refined food.

Fancier restaurant with more modern French cuisine – perfect for a celebration or special night out.
Lovely local bar and restaurant which does a mouth-watering British / French fusion menu. Great décor and lovely atmosphere – where all the local Brits go

As you would expect of any French resort, Morzine has a whole host of boulangeries to choose from. They really are all good; however, La Bonbonnière is particularly difficult to walk past without stepping in for a sweet treat, their savouries are excellent too!

A proper little Santa’s grotto located in the Plein Dranse basin, this place is run by Babeth whose narcissism is world famous. Being told what to do in her tounge-in-cheek style is very much part of the experience and the food is good. It is very popular so you will need to book in advance in peak season.

Guests staying in Montriond should head down to La Marmotte d’Or for a pub like atmosphere, friendly staff and locals alike. Regular live music nights usually get everyone dancing, and later in the season the terrace is a great place for a pint in the sun.

If finishing the day in Prodains La Kinkerne, on the main road out, is an unpretentious spot with occasional après parties. You can ski straight to the terrace if you go down next to the nursery slope drag lift!
You’ll find a large collection of bars on the main street leading up to the Pleney. If doing dinner, L’Etale is a fun place for a boozy meal and will stay open serving drinks until late.
The popular Crepu is a good drinking hole to start with, and is right next to the Tibetan Café, which is a great all-rounder playing party tunes to a lively bunch of locals, seasonaires and tourists.
The nearby Cavern is a must on a night out; this friendly bar has live music from 5 – 7.30pm, a generous happy hour at 4pm and DJs from 10pm.
For late night dancing L’Opera (also on the Pleney strip) is the classic Morzine club that plays popular dance, DNB and techno tunes. Look out for special events and international DJs.
