One third of the way through the season – the highlights so far…
We are already a third of the way through the ski season and what a fantastic season it’s been! So here is a quick summary of the highlights:
1. Boxing day snow – after the indulgences of Christmas day, nature was kind and gave Morzine lots of fresh powder to play in on boxing day and work off the excess. So much fun.
2. Our awesome team – we are so happy with the chalet team this year and it seems our guests are too. We have had lots of compliments about them and about how well the chalet is being kept. We can’t wait for the rest of our guests to meet them.
3. Pulling off a double changeover week. In the second week of the season, we had 26 people staying for the 1st half of the week and a further 16 staying in the 2nd half of the week which meant our room had to clean each room twice that week as opposed to just once. And they nailed it!
4. Blue sky days. As with any good season, the highlights are often found at the top of a mountain surrounded by lots of lovely snow and with views reaching out for several hundred miles in every direction.
5. Kat’s cooking. She is too humble to admit it but her cooking really is incredible. I’d be amazed if there is another chalet in Morzine serving up better food than she does.
The snow is still falling in Morzine and everyone is really enjoying themselves in the chalet – we can’t wait to find out what the next highlight will be…
