Morzine Crèche: Halte-Garderie Les Marmottins

Halte-Garderie Les Marmottins, run by the Morzine Tourist Office, offers professional childcare for babies and young children aged 6 months up to 5 years. Kids clubs (skiing lessons and nursery for 3 years- 5 years)

ESF is France’s largest ski school network, offering fun, confidence-building ski experiences for children from age 3. Its Piou Piou ski nursery introduces children to skiing through games and gentle instruction, and combines with indoor nursery activities and meals for complete day or half-day care.  Families can choose between Piou Piou in Morzine (Pleney) or Montriond (Ardent). As an alternative, several Morzine’s independent ski schools offer kids clubs from age 4.

ESF Morzine Piou Piou from 3 years

Located in central Morzine (on the snow front, near to the ESF ski school) Club Piou Piou (3yrs+) from Sunday to Friday combines ski lessons with indoor and outdoor activities at the Piou Piou garderie. When your children aren’t skiing, they are supervised by ESF instructors who organise outdoor and indoos activities (games, crafts, etc.).

Morning sessions  are 8:45am–12pm. Meals can be added as an extra if needed between 12pm – 2pm.
Afternoon sessions  are 2pm–5pm
Full-day option is 8:45 – 5pm, (morning + afternoon) with lunch included

ESF Montriond Piou Piou & Kids Club from 3 and a half years

Located in Montriond les Lindarets (top of the Ardent gondola), Montrionds’ Kids Club welcomes children from 3 and a half years for a fun introduction to skiing. Children take part in group ski lessons in the morning, combined with supervised indoor and outdoor activities such as games, crafts, and snow play until 12:30pm. This club offers half days in the morning only.

Morning sessions: 9:15am–11:15am + childcare up tp 12:30pm

A Club Piou Piou badge is included, and children will need a lift pass, ski equipment, and a helmet.

ESF Ski lessons – Kids ages 4 years and over

If your kids are ready to start lessons, and you don’t need the kids club option, ESF offers group and private ski lessons  for children aged 4 and above, starting in the kindergarden and progressiong onto the nursery slopes and beyond. More guests staying in Montriond chalets we reccomend using the Montriond ski school, this means your family start their ski day from Ardent where you can access Avoriaz, Chatel and the Swiss resorts.

Independent Ski Schools

Morzine has several well-established independent ski schools with extensive experience teaching English-speaking children to ski, providing personalised attention and flexible lesson options.

New Generation – ‘whippersnappers’ ski programme (4-5 years)

New Generation’s children’s programme combine a mix of technical and exploratory challenges to keep kids engaged. All sessions are tailored to ability and energy levels, with a focus on helping children understand the mountain and slopes, whilst building confidence. Lessons are always taught by ski instructors who speak fluent English.

BillSki’s lessons are all about helping your little ones to enjoy the mountains, feel comfortable on the snow and progress slowly but positively. Bill is a lovely, friendly chap and him and his instructors speak English and hold BASI or equivalent qualifications, so you know that you’re kids are always in very safe hands.
