BCorp certification
We put people and planet before profit. As a certified B Corporation, we’re proud to be part of a global movement creating an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. We are working collectively to reinvent business for the benefit of all people and our shared planet.
What is a B Corp?
Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab – a non-profit, third-party organisation – to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. Over the last 12 years, B Lab has established a rigorous assessment procedure—anchored in third-party validation, public transparency, and legal accountability—requiring Certified B Corps to actively earn trust and demonstrate value.
Why did we become a B Corp?
The process we underwent to achieve certification was rigorous, evaluating our business across 5 impact areas: Governance, Workers, Customers, Community and Environment. Everything from employee benefits and charitable giving, to supply chain practices and environmental management were evaluated through the B Lab lens.
After 300 questions, countless supporting documents, and several verification interviews, we surpassed the minimum score threshold by13 points. For a small, independent business, gathering the resources needed for this assessment took nearly a year. It represents a huge milestone for us.
But certification isn’t the finish line. Every three years, we’ll be re-assessed against B Corp’s ever-evolving standards. The real challenge is to keep momentum – and to use this framework to shape how we operate every day.
We’ve joined a global community of progressive companies leading the way towards a more sustainable future, where people and place truly matter. As a B Corp, we feel part of the change we seek in the world. This is why working towards B Corp certification was a natural step for us.
Why does it matter?
When you choose a B Corp – whether it’s the bank you use, the cereal you eat for breakfast, or the chalet you holiday in – you’re supporting a company that meets high standards of ethics, accountability, and sustainability.
B Corp Certification makes it easy to identify businesses that act as a force for good. Whether you’re a customer, employee or a business partner – it’s a signal that you’re investing in an organisation committed to a better way of doing business.
“Earning B Corp certification has been a long-standing goal for AliKats. The process has helped us formalize our mission of putting people and planet above profit, and it gives us the tools to push even harder in a world facing enormous social and environmental challenges,” said Al Judge, co-founder of AliKats. “We believe that travel done with compassion and respect can be a powerful force for good. As operators in the mountain and ski industry, we face a unique set of challenges, and being part of the B Corp movement ensures we continue to stretch ourselves. We are now on track to achieving our goal of investing €1 million in protecting the planet by 2035.”
